Iran became fifth-top creator of radiopharmaceuticals

(MENAFN) Mohammad Eslami, vice president and head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), stated on Wednesday that Iran is presently one of the chief five producers of radiopharmaceuticals in the world.

On Iran's export of radiopharmaceuticals, Eslami commented that specialists in the AEOI have tried more to make Iran one of the main producers and suppliers of radiopharmaceuticals in the world.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic subsided in 2022, Iran restarted deliveries of radiopharmaceuticals, which are mostly used to cure cancer, to nine nations in the world, he informed journalists after a cabinet conference.

The official added that Iranian-produced radiopharmaceuticals are more effective than those created by other multinational brands, and that researchers in the nation will keep working to rise the treatments' effectiveness.

Elsewhere, he pointed to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s claims of “undeclared” nuclear installations and processes in Iran made under Israeli force.

“Even though they are aware that the charges are baseless, they nonetheless exploited them to exert pressure on the Islamic Republic. They acknowledged that there is no indication of any deviance in the nuclear program and that interactions with the agency are in place,” he also said.
