Iran’s cement output surpasses 48M tons in first 9 months


(MENAFN) Output of cement in Iran reached an amount of 48.362 million tons in the opening nine months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21, 2022), as shown by the figures issued by Industry, mining and Trade Ministry.

The ministry’s data show that the nine-month production has dropped one percent in contrast with the output in the same span of time in the last year.

Iran outputted 63 million tons of cement two years ago to be placed the world’s seventh largest cement producer, as reported by IRIB last month quoting international statistics.

According to reports, the Islamic Republic also shipped 14.4 million tons of cement in that year to be placed in fourth spot between the world’s leading cement shippers.

According to the Iranian Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry figures, Iranian cement complexes have achieved to ship 7.6 million tons of the output in the opening seven months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), recording a four percent rise in comparison with the number for the prior year’s same time span.
