Serbia: Another nation prepared to remove its recognition of Kosovo

(MENAFN) According to Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, 10 countries have now shown a willingness to remove their recognition of Kosovo. According to Dacic, Serbia's Vecernje Novosti media outlet, Belgrade is stepping up its de-recognition effort in reaction to what it perceives as Kosovo's violations of agreements signed with Serbia.

The minister claimed that the nations participating should be shielded from pressure that may be applied by Kosovo's strong supporters and refused to reveal the identities of the countries that made the decision.

The list reportedly includes countries from the Asia-Pacific, Caribbean, and African continents, according to Vecernje Novosti. Some of them, according to the media site, are "influential" regional figures who may start a "domino effect" by denouncing Kosovo, “we respect their position and do not want to expose them to any pressure from Pristina, especially from its allies.”
