UAE, Saudi Arabia contributes in 76.4 percent of Japan’s crude oil imports in November

(MENAFN) Over three quarters of Japan’s oil imports in November (76.4 percent) was originated from the UAE as well as Saudi Arabia, with percentages of 41.5 percent (32.1 million barrels) and 36.3 percent (28.16 million barrels), individually, as shown by figures from the Japanese Energy Agency on Friday.

Japan’s crude oil imports from Saudi Arabia were decreased from 31.60 million barrels, whereas imports of UAE crude were lower from 33.93 million barrels in the prior month.

Overall imports in November totaled 77.53 million barrels – decreasing from 84.58 million the prior month – at a level of 2.58 million barrels a day.

From Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman in addition to the neutral zone (between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait), imports reached a level of 9.4 percent, 5 percent, 1.3 percent, 1.3 percent and 0.6 percent, individually within the order, which indicates that Arab oil supplied Japan with 95.4 percent of its oil requirements in November, in line with the agency, which is part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
