TEDPIX closes Wednesday session 70,900 points higher
(MENAFN) TEDPIX, the benchmark index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), earned 70,917 points to reach 1.647 million on Wednesday.
According to reports, more than 17.579 billion securities valued at 103.724 trillion rials (nearly USD357.6 million) were exchanged at the TSE.
The first market’s index saw a surge of 62,346 points, and the second market’s index soared 110,546 points.
TEDPIX jumped 24,000 points to 1.496 million in the last Iranian calendar week (closed on Friday).
According to reports, the index has surged 87,603 points (6.22 percent) to reach 1.496 million points in the prior Iranian calendar month Azar (closed on the 21st of December).
Chief of Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) has mentioned that the nation’s share market has been passing via a challenging time but believing the administration backing, the future of the market will be bright.
“The capital market has gone through a challenging period and in the past two and a half years, various issues occurred in the market that led to the creation of a heavy psychological atmosphere,” Majid Eshqi informed the press.
