The delegation was received by Fatima Khalifa Al-Muqarrab, Director of the SCCI's International Relations Department. They learned about SCCI's history, its departments, divisions, activities, its pioneering experience for the benefit of the business community, the services it provides to its members, and its tireless endeavor to enhance Sharjah's leading position as a regional hub for international trade.
Providing support to students
Welcoming the visitors, Al-Muqarrab said that the visit is part of the constructive cooperation and joint coordination between the SCCI and the Indian consulate in Dubai, stressing that the SCCI's doors are always open to students, as it follows a strategy that is based on providing support for students with their academic studies. The delegation members were briefed on the SCCI's sponsorship programmes for university students, such as the SCCI Award for Innovators, annually organised in cooperation with the University of Sharjah, and its social responsibility initiatives to support students. They were also introduced to the SCCI's efforts in furthering the emirate’s economic position and achieving comprehensive development, as well as its initiatives to support the private sector.
