IAEA Chief Says Zaporizhzhia NPP Is Ukrainian


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, located in the city of Enerhodar temporarily occupied by Russia, remains a Ukrainian facility.

According to Ukrinform, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, reports.

' This is a matter that has to do with international law. […] We want the war to stop immediately, and of course the position of the IAEA is that this facility is a Ukrainian facility,' Grossi said.

Russian troops seized the ZNPP in March. The nuclear power plant is the largest in Europe and continues to be operated by Ukrainian staff.
