(MENAFN) US actress Angelina Jolie says that on a 2016 flight, her ex-husband Brad Pitt grabbed her by the head and shook her, then choked one of their children and hit another after they tried to protect her, based on a court filing.
The descriptions of abuse on the private flight came in a cross-complaint Jolie filed in their argument over a French home and vineyard they owned before, which is distinct from their current divorce.
An envoy for Pitt strongly refused Jolie’s claims, describing them as “another rehash that only harms the family”.
The claims of abuse were announced shortly following the flight, but details were kept closed in divorce documents and surveys by the FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
The two agencies discovered that no action aimed at Pitt was essential.
A judge gave the actor 50-50 custody of the children following a private trial in which the claims were televised.
