Gazprom announces Nord Stream pipelines issues is resolved

(MENAFN) The weight in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipeline has steadied and gas leaks have ended, Russian energy firm Gazprom announced Monday in a written announcement.

The firm declared that requests in the two lines of Nord Stream 1 as well as line A of the Nord Stream 2 has went back to regular rates, whereas operation is continuing to decline weights in line B of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

“To do this, the company pumps out the natural gas in the pipe. This will allow a safe inspection of the integrity of string B, as well as reduce potential environmental risks in case of possible gas leaks,” the firm mentioned in the announcement.

Adding: “If a decision is made to start deliveries via Line B of Nord Stream 2, natural gas, after checking the integrity of the system and confirming this possibility by the supervisory authorities, will be pumped into the gas pipeline.”
