3Rd Qatari-Saudi Coordination Meeting On World Cup Entry Procedures Begins In Doha

Doha: The third Qatari-Saudi Arabia coordination meeting regarding entry procedures for arrivals through the Abu Samra border crossing during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 started on Wednesday and will continue for two days at the Sheraton Doha Hotel.

Brig. Nasser bin Abdullah Al Thani, Director of the Border Passports Department, headed the Qatari delegation at the meeting, while Brig. Gen. Saud bin Bandar Al-Sour, Assistant Director General of Passports for Border Affairs, led the Saudi delegation.

Brig. Nasser bin Abdullah Al Thani welcomed the Saudi delegation to their second country, Qatar, and expressed his wishes that the efforts would ensure the smooth entry of fans and guests into Qatar through the Abu Samra border crossing. 

He mentioned that the present meeting is a continuation of what was discussed in the previous two meetings to enhance cooperation concerning entry and exit procedures during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The meeting reviewed the latest developments on the approved entry mechanism for those coming to Qatar during the tournament through the Abu Samra border crossing and other topics on the agenda.
