Qatar Calls On Citizens To Take Extreme Caution As Storm 'Ian' Batters Southeastern US
WASHINGTON: The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Washington, DC , urges Qatari citizens in areas in the southeastern United States expected to be impacted by Tropical Storm 'lan” to be extremely cautious.
In a statement on Twitter, the Embassy advises citizens to take all the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families in the coming hours, and to follow the directives of the local governments.
Tropical Storm Ian was on Sunday barreling toward western Cuba, where it is expected to soak the Caribbean island with heavy rainfall and trigger storm surges as it turns into a hurricane on Monday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
