Somali Forces Kill 15 Al-Shabab Militants - Agency
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- Somali authorities on Friday reported 15 deaths amongst members of al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Shabab militia.
The casualties, according to an information ministry statement, came on the backdrop; and in response to the militia's attempt to attack army units in Galguduud region.
Somali National News Agency, which carried the ministry statement, reported that the attack prompted army deployment all through the region, resulting in the elimination of the outlawed-militia members. (end)
