
Shamali Heads Jordan's Delegation To Arab League's Economic Meetings In Cairo
Cairo, Sept. 1 (Petra)-Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yousef Shamali, chaired meetings of the Social and Economic Ministerial Council held on Thursday, at Arab League headquarters, in the presence of Jordanian ambassador in Cairo, Amjad Adaileh.
In her speech, Arab League's Secretary-General for Social Affairs, Haifa Abu-Ghazaleh, said the draft agenda focuses on preparations to hold upcoming Arab summit in Algeria, and Arab Summit for Economic and Social Development in its fifth session in Mauritania.
Discussions will also go over priority issues on joint Arab economic and social action, especially with regard to the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA), developments related to the pan-Arab customs union, maritime transport, investment and food security, Abu-Ghazaleh added.
