Monsha'at provides over 200 training courses to Saudi businesspeople
(MENAFN) To increase the sector's contribution to the GDP, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, or Monsha'at, has been providing training courses to business owners.
In order to assist prospective company owners and entrepreneurs by enhancing their capacity to reach markets, manage current firms, and investigate opportunities for business growth, Monsha'at developed an online academy in 2020.
The school provided over 200 training opportunities, such as boot camps, workshops, and self-paced online courses.
Its curricula cover franchising, e-commerce, retail business, planning and strategy, sales and marketing, accounting and financial management, and technology and innovation.
Abdulrahman Alotaibi, manager of Monsha'at's SMEs Training for Capacity Building remarked, “the circumstances of COVID-19 in the lockdown accelerated the need to have such a platform. So we started as a learning management system, where we get all of our training services in one place.”
In an interview with Arab News, Alotaibi claimed that businesses at the time required assistance to survive the pandemic outbreak.
