European share markets end Tuesday’s session with mixed figures


(MENAFN) European share markets ended with mixed figures on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which contains nearly 90 percent of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 nations, was decreased 2.95 points, or 0.67 percent, to end at 435.98.

Germany's DAX 30 was the poorest performer of the day, dropping 152 points, or 1.12 percent, to end at 13,534.

France's CAC 40 fell 34 points, or 0.53 percent, to finish at 6,490, Italy's FTSE MIB declined 239 points, or 1.05 percent, to 22,488.

The UK's FTSE 100, on the other hand, surged 5.78 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 7,488.

Spain's IBEX 35 was the highest performer of the day, gaining 39 points, or 0.48 percent, to 8,311.

International main Brent crude was exchanging at USD96.06 a barrel at 09.58 AM regional time (0658 GMT) for a 0.61 percent decline from the ending cost of USD96.65 per barrel in the last exchange session.

American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at USD90.20 a barrel at the same time for a 0.62 percent decline after the previous session finished at USD90.76 per barrel.
