Bitcoin jumps to peak rate in nearly 7 weeks at USD24K


(MENAFN) The value of Bitcoin jumped to its peak rate in nearly seven weeks on Friday, soaring over the dangerous support rate of USD24,000.

Bitcoin, the world's biggest crypto by market size, witnessed its cost reaching USD24,442 at 0630GMT – its peak level since June 13. It was just over USD24,000 for a 5.1 percent day to day earn at 1434GMT.

Ethereum, the world's largest altcoin by market worth, was exchanging at nearly USD1,728 at the time for a surge of around 6 percent.

Bitcoin declined under USD18,000 rate on the 18th of June, its worst rate in 18 months, while whole worth of the crypto market dropped to nearly USD800 billion.

While the crypto market's entire value stood at nearly USD1.1 trillion on Friday, it is still far from its record peak rate of USD3 trillion that was reached in November.

The crypto market witnessed main decreases in latest months with the US Federal Reserve going into a hawkish financial tightening cycle.
