São Paulo – The third edition of the online course in Portuguese, 'The Islamic World' ['O Mundo Islâmico'], will start on August 17, and registration is open. With the theme 'Ethics and Business with Consumers in the Islamic World,' the classes will include discussions on the opportunities and challenges for Brazilian agribusiness in markets with an Islamic majority.
The course is organized by the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA) and the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil (Fambras), with support from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), Fambras Halal, Halal Academy of Brazil, Arab Ambassadors Council in Brazil, Brazil Logistics Institute and Brazilian Institute of International Business Relations Development (Ibrei).
The program will bring the experience of scholars, private sector workers, and government authorities about the Islamic world. They will lecture in four modules, which will focus on the Muslim population and its particularities, the challenges and differentials in exporting to Islamic countries, the importance of halal certification, the ESG culture – environmental, social, and governance practices – for the consumer, and logistics chain and export process.
Four meetings will be held on August 17 and 25 and September 1 and 9, from 9:00 am to 11:15 am BRT. The Market Intelligence manager of the ABCC, Marcus Vinícius, will be one of the lecturers of the August 25 class. He will discuss trade agreements and competitiveness for Brazilian agribusiness with Muslim countries.
Classes will take place live through the Zoom platform. Registration is free. According to a release, the course is recommended for workers in the agricultural sector, agro-exports, public employees in foreign trade and diplomacy, press professionals, academics, and other interested parties. Participants with at least 75% attendance will receive a certificate from the Halal Academy of Brazil.
