Eid Celebrations Draw Crowds To Katara As Festivities Continue
Events offered by the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara to the public continued on the second day of Eid Al Adha yesterday, with a mass presence of visitors from various nationalities and age groups.
Children activities ranged from colouring workshops, face painting, canvas painting, balloon formation, ceramic painting, and cartoon character shows.
The diverse and interesting theatrical performances were admired by children, and contained a bouquet of the most beautiful tales that mix the show with the shadow puppetry saturated with ideas, lessons and benefits, and presented with a fun dramatic template and graceful performance, that added joy and pleasure in the hearts of the audience, leaving behind shadows, colours and a deep impact in the souls.
The entertainment and educational film shows presented by the Al Thuraya Planetarium in building 41 in Katara also kicked off yesterday, where the audience was waiting between five and seven in the evening for a selection of special shows presented daily until the last days of Eid Al Adha, such as Polaris with 3D technology, the universe, eight planets on the Milky Way, the star show, the astronaut with 3D technology, the perfect planet, and space guards Zola.
Katara beach witnessed a huge turnout of swimming enthusiasts, water games and sea lovers, who spent extraordinary times of pleasure and delight on the beach.
