Proposed 22Nd Amendment Gazetted

The proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution has been published in a gazette notification.
The Supreme Court had determined recently that certain clauses of the amendment are inconsistent with the Constitution.
The determination was presented to Parliament by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The amendment to the Constitution has been approved by the Cabinet. (Colombo Gazette)
