Situation In Aqaba "Under Control': Media Minister

Amman, June 27 (Petra) -- Minister of State for Media Affairs, Faisal Shboul, said that competent authorities are currently conducting sterilization and disinfection of the gas leak accident site in the Aqaba port.
Speaking to the JRTV, Shboul said competent authorities placed a cordon of 5 km around the scene of the accident to prevent any possibility of new injuries, stressing that there will be no impacts of the incident after that.
Shboul indicated that there are 123 injured currently receiving treatment in hospitals, and announced that more injured are expected to be discharged from hospitals in the coming hours.
Shaboul reaffirmed that the situation in Aqaba is under control, and there is no risk to the city, its people and its visitors any more.
