Turkey’s regular energy usage drops 5.2pct on June 11


(MENAFN) Based on the official numbers released by the Turkish Energy Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday, regular electricity usage in Turkey declined by 5.2 percent on Saturday in comparison to the previous day, standing at 863,569 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS statistics, hourly electricity usage reached 40,566 megawatts per hours at 12.00 regional time (0900 GMT). At 07.00 regional time, the nation’s power use has reached its lowest point of 29,461 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).

On Saturday, electricity output was 853,039 megawatts per hours, down 5 percent from Friday.

Natural gas power factories comprised by 22.5 percent of overall electricity, whereas imported coal and hydro power factories constituted by 17.1 percent and 16.2 percent, correspondingly.
