Protest In Slave Island Demanding Cooking Gas
A protest was staged in Slave Island today demanding cooking gas.
The protesters blocked part of the road using gas cylinders and demanded gas.
They accused the authorities of failing to ensure adequate supplies of gas was distributed in the area.
Litro Gas Lanka Limited had said that it was to distribute 16,000 gas cylinders (12.5kg, 5kg and 2.3kg) in the country today (June 03).
Sri Lanka currently has a serious shortage of domestic gas.
Litro has been distributing gas is small numbers on a daily basis. (Colombo Gazette)
