AMMAN — The Jordan Audit Bureau on Sunday held a specialised Arab training assembly discussing monitoring of public investments, in cooperation with the Arab Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The assembly, which will continue until next Thursday, comes within the framework of a developmental plan approved by the ARABOSAI at its 62nd meeting in Qatar, consisting of holding scientific meetings and training courses.

Secretary General of the Jordan Audit Bureau Ibrahim Majali said that the assembly constitutes an opportunity to enhance the skills of participants from Jordan and Arab countries in monitoring public investments, in a manner that serves the Arab investment regulatory work and keeps pace with investment developments in Arab countries.

A total of 34 trainees representing 17 regulatory bodies of ARABOSAI including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen, Syria, and Jordan are attending the assembly.
