China underlines right to 'subsistence and development'

(MENAFN) The “right to subsistence and development" are “primary human rights” of the improving world, but tries to force rights models from outside could be “disastrous,” China’s leader informed the UN human rights head on Wednesday.

In a video call, Xi Jinping said to Michelle Bachelet that shared respect and equality are going to create a basis to “actively conduct human rights dialogue.”

On a weeklong trip to China on Saturday, Bachelet will see many high-level bureaucrats at the national and local levels.

On the words of Xi “More efforts are needed to achieve development of higher quality, efficiency, equity, sustainability and security, so as to provide strong safeguards for the advancement of human rights.”
