Colonel Khodaei gets killed near his home in Tehran


(MENAFN) Sayyad Khodaei, a colonel in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite foreign acts troop, the Quds Force, has been was killed by gunfire when he sitting in his automobile during the day on Mojahedin-e Eslam Street, which is known to be a safe region and sited nearby the Iranian parliament, by motorbike assassins in front of his house in Tehran.

The IRGC criticized Khodaei’s killing as a “terrorist act” and accused “elements linked to global arrogance” for the criminality, a reference to the U.S., Israeli occupation as well as their associates. He was labelled as a “defender of the shrines,” which signifies that he did combat with the Quds Force in Syria as well as Iraq.

Saeed Khatibzadeh, Foreign Ministry of Iran spokesperson, stated after the publication of Khodaei’s murder, “The sworn enemies of the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran once again showed their evil nature with the assassination and martyrdom of one of the members of the IRGC troops.”
