Turkiye to refuse Finland, Sweden’s NATO association

(MENAFN) Turkiye is going to reject the application of Finland and Sweden to NATO, Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, as senior representatives of both nations will head to Turkiye for meetings in the next days.

Erdogan restated Ankara’s security worries within Helsinki and Stockholm’s NATO efforts, declaring the Nordic nations are welcoming members of the terror groups, like YPG/ PKK and the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO).

Erdogan said in a conference with a group of youth in the capital Ankara on the event of the Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day “We told them, we said that NATO is a security organization, we cannot accept the existence of terrorist organizations in such an organization,” noting “Especially Sweden is a real guesthouse for terror,” adding that Stockholm further forced a weapons restriction on Turkiye.
