Gov't Offers Condolences Over Death Of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa

Amman, May 14 (Petra) –– Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Krishan, on behalf of the government of Jordan, on Saturday offered condolences on the passing of United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the residence of the UAE ambassador in Amman.
Krishan expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy on the loss of a leader who was 'true to the causes of his country and the Arab nation, and who left his mark on his country's development march.'
He said Jordan stands with the UAE leadership and people, praying that God Almighty bless his soul, and wishing the 'brothers' in the Emirates solace and strength to pursue the country's achievements and remain a model in the region and the world.
The deputy premier also noted the deep-rooted and historical Jordanian-UAE relations.
