Police To Take Action Against 59 Social Media Groups
The Sri Lanka Police Force has threatened to take legal action against anyone who uses social media to incite unrest in the country.
The police claimed in a statement that 59 social media groups and their administrators had been discovered in connection with inciting violence during the protests.
According to the police, the organizations collected members through social media platforms to carry out attacks on homes, vehicles, and other things.

The Sri Lanka Police Department also warned the people that if they are proven to have incited violence through social media during the turmoil, legal action will be taken.
