Sri Lanka Repatriates 19 Indian Fishermen

Sri Lanka has repatriated 19 Indian fishermen who had been arrested and jailed for poaching in Sri Lankan waters.
The Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka said that the 19 Indian fisherman were repatriated from Sri Lanka to Chennai today morning.
Sri Lanka has been arresting Indian fishermen who poach in Sri Lankan waters.
Both countries have been discussing the fishermen issue for years but have failed to reach an amicable solution. (Colombo Gazette)
