Eid Al-Fitr On Monday -- Iraqi Sunni Authority
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, April 30 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Sunni Waqf authority on Saturday declared that the first day of Eid Al-Fitr that marks end of the fasting month of Ramadan falls on Monday.
The Iraqi news agency, citing a statement by the Sunni Waqf, said Shawal crescent was not sighted tonight, thus tomorrow (Sunday) would be the last day of fasting and Eid Al- Fitr would be on Monday.
Eid Al-Fitr marks end of Ramadan, throughout which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. (end)
