Russia suspends several clauses of visa facilitation agreements with EU
BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a Decree 'On retaliatory visa measures in response to the unfriendly actions of a number of foreign states', Trend reports citing TASS.
The document was published on the official internet-portal of Russia's legal information on April 4.
The order has been signed based on the need to take urgent measures in response to the unfriendly actions of the EU. According to the new decree, Russia has suspended several clauses of visa facilitation agreements with the EU, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
President Putin tasked the Foreign Ministry to impose personal restrictions on entry to Russia for foreigners and stateless persons committing unfriendly acts.
