Afghanistan - Detained university lecturer released by Taliban

The daughter of the university lecturer and political analyst Faizaullah Jalal said that his father got released on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, after four days in detention.
Hasina Jalal in a voice clip confirmed the release and thanked all those who did their part in raising the voice for the release of his father's detention.
Faizullah Jalal was arrested by the Taliban on Saturday and he was in detention for four days.
Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabiullah Mujahid had said that he was provoking people against the system and had disrespected officials of IEA.
Common people had mixed reactions to the detention of Jalal.
On social media, some had asked for the immediate release of him while others had praised the detention as he had called Durand Line as the official border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
