The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced the continuation of implementing the medicine home delivery service, in cooperation with Qatar Post, by contacting the WhatsApp phone numbers of health centers.

PHCC explained that the home delivery service aims to reduce patients' visits to health centers and confirms the community's keenness to stay at home to limit the spread of Covid-19.

The medicine home delivery service is requested through the patients contacting the WhatsApp numbers of each health center from Sunday to Thursday (from 8am to 2pm and from 4pm to 10pm), except the weekend (Friday and Saturday).

To use the service, the patient sends a text message with the word 'hello' on WhatsApp to the number of his health center. Afterward, the pharmacist will contact him as soon as possible. The medicines will be delivered to the patients home via Qatar Post within two working days for a fee of QR 30 to be paid to the Qatar Post employees when delivering medicines to them.

Director of Pharmacy at the PHCC Dr. Manal Al Zaidan said that this service is available to everyone. She stressed that all the required medicines are available in the PHCC pharmacies in sufficient quantities and there are no fears of the possibility of any shortage of any type of medicine.

She added that the PHCC, within the framework of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the state to limit the spread of the Covid-19 and the safety of all auditors, continues to provide home delivery service for medicines from health centers for all, especially those with chronic diseases to reduce gatherings during drug dispensing from the pharmacy.

The PHCC canceled and reduced the appointments of a number of clinics and worked on organizing and scheduling appointments with patients by communicating via phone with those whose condition does not require meeting the doctor directly for the safety of all patients.
