(MENAFN) Bitcoin’s future is unpredictable for sure, however, one scholar cautioned that the most famous cryptocurrency in the world might end in the upcoming future.
Top professor of global trade policy Eswar Prasad from Cornell University, informed CNBC’s “Squawk Box Europe” at the start of December: “Bitcoin itself may not last that much longer.”
The price of Bitcoin was greatly unstable during the past couple of years and in December, the cost of one coin declined from about USD58,000 to USD46,000 and less than that. On Friday, Dec. 17 at 10:15 a.m. ET the cost of it was USD45,637.
It is worth mentioning that there are numerous cryptocurrencies that are more efficient than Bitcoin and ones that are supportive of the environment.
