Jean-Yves Le Drian lands in Algeria
(MENAFN) French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian went to Algeria, due to a dispute over French Leader Emmanuel Macron remarks.
As the French Foreign Ministry announced, Le Drian is going to gather with Algerian Leader Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Algerian fellow Ramtane Lamamra in his visit to the country, which is targeted to “evaluate and relaunch French-Algerian relations", according to the ministry.
Since late September, stress amid France and Algeria increased over comments of French Macron regarding Algeria’s settler history.
