Turkish major stock index ends Tuesday with record high


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the Turkish major stock index closed with wins to reach another record ending of 1,981.04 points, while it reached a fresh record high recorded for one day of 1,983.99 points throughout the trading session.

After beginning the day at 1,983.99 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 53.65 points, or 2.78 percent, from the last ending of 1,927.39 points.

The lowest value of the index throughout the trading day stood at 1,942.50 points, whereas its everyday high amounted at 1,983.99 points.

The overall worth of the market of the BIST 100 was about 1.6 trillion Turkish liras (USD116 billion) by market ending, with an everyday trading capacity of nearly 42 billion liras (USD3 billion).
