Worldwide MPs meet in Ankara for Jerusalem


(MENAFN) Presenting unity with the Palestinian cause and the taken city of Jerusalem, MPs from 50 nations from the whole world met in Ankara.

The session planned by the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, an NGO, was joined by politicians from Turkey, Arab and African nations and officials from Europe and South America.

On the words of Yemeni MP Hameid al-Ahmar, who heads the pro-Jerusalem association, the occasion that lasted for 2 days is organized under the theme “Jerusalem is Our Red Line."

He added "This conference aims at proposing ideas to institutionalizing our efforts to serve the Palestinian cause," saying “We have gathered here today to mobilize a relentless support to serve the struggle of the Palestinian people.”

Turkish Government Utterer Mustafa Sentop declared "Jerusalem has been and will always remain a red line."

"Jerusalem issue is of our national causes, it is at the heart of our honor, it is our red line," Sentop said, going on to vow that Turkey will continue to "stand by the oppressed Muslim peoples."
