Mazoon Electricity takes lead in organising Distribution Benchmarking Forum
(MENAFN- Prime Advertising LLC) Mazoon Electricity Company, member of NAMA Group was key organiser of Distribution Benchmarking Forum (DBF) held recently. Six companies participated in the forum which helped assess the distribution companies’ service performance, identify areas for improvement, implement best practices and learn from industry leaders.
The vision of the DBF is “To be a forum for participants to share experiences, learn from each other, and improve performance through benchmarking.”
Eng. Khalfan Naser Said Al Burtamani, Project Manager of the Forum and Senior Manager Regulatory & Corporate Affairs in Mazoon Electricity said: “DBF has been paving way of shared learning through benchmarking. The forum helps power utilities meet the rapidly growing demand for electricity while managing assets effectively and fulfilling regulatory requirements.”
The benchmarking on 33 KPIs covered the following topics including network operation performance, customer service performance, financial performance, human resource performance, safety health environment performance, asset performance and project performance.
The forum provided an annual overview of the companies’ performance for the past three years, the position within NAMA group companies and with other electricity well reputed distribution companies. It focused on an understanding of areas of improvement and lesson learning from the best performer. The forum provided an opportunity to learn best practices from the peer group leading performers.
The Distribution Benchmarking Forum (DBF) was established in 2012 on the initiatives of NAMA Holding Company with the goal of “measuring performance to improve”, and since the establishment, DBF support NAMA Group distribution companies to improve its performance by adopting best practices.
