Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland establish Youth Lublin Triangle

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Three national youth councils of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland have signed a memorandum of cooperation on the creation of the Youth Lublin Triangle.

“Today, we have officially created the Youth Lublin Triangle and three national youth councils of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland have joined us. I have a memorandum in my hands, which testifies to the creation of the Youth Lublin Triangle,” Denys Ganzha, founder of the NGO "Public Diplomacy Platform" and moderator of the Youth Lublin Triangle said at a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He stressed that the organization united more than 210,000 representatives of active youth and its activities covered more than 2 million young people from three countries.

Ganzha noted that the initiative organizers planned to launch the first exchange between Ukraine and Lithuania, which will take place next month.

“In the future, we plan to register an international non-governmental organization and create a project team that will deal with the following areas: student exchanges, interparliamentary internships, intermunicipal internships, joint campaigns to combat disinformation and Russian influence in our countries, support for democratic choice of Belarusian youth, conferences of young scientists, and even joint esports tournaments,” the moderator informed.

Karolina Svirida, a member of the National Youth Council of Ukraine, noted that the national councils of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland will jointly defend the rights and interests of young people within the framework of the Lublin Triangle. According to her, the three councils support the key areas of the Youth Lublin Triangle: Ukraine's European integration, promotion of the cultural heritage of the three countries, and opportunities for young people.

As reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is working towards holding a meeting of the Lublin Triangle Interparliamentary Assembly in Warsaw in December.

The Lublin Triangle is a trilateral platform for political, economic, cultural, and social cooperation between Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine, aimed in particular at strengthening dialogue between the countries, supporting Ukraine's integration into the European Union and NATO, and jointly countering Russian aggression.
