Hamas leader speaks with Taliban FM
(MENAFN) The Palestinian resistance group said that Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh talked over phone with the Taliban administration’s acting Foreign Minister Amir Muttaqi.
Hamas stated that Haniyeh greeted the Taliban win over US occupation troops in Afghanistan.
Haniyeh uttered optimism that the Taliban measure “could have a role in supporting their brothers in Palestine to liberate Jerusalem."
Moreover, Haniyeh stressed the need to keep "Palestine present in the speeches of the Afghan Foreign Ministry, especially Jerusalem and the ongoing (Israeli) violations there.”
