Armed Forces Language Institute signs pacts with Turkish, French institutes


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Language Institute of Qatari Armed Forces has signed two partnership and cooperation agreements with the Yunus Emre Turkish Institute at the Turkish Cultural Center and the French Institute in Doha, separately.

The two agreements aim to strengthen the close relationship between Qatar, Turkey and France and to develop cooperation in the academic and cultural fields, the Ministry of Defence said in a tweet.

The two agreements were signed by Director of the Languages Institute Brigadier General (Pilot), Hassan Abdullah Ahmed Al Abdullah; Director of Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Doha, Dr. Selcuk Kursad Koca; Deputy Director of the French Institute in Doha, Avi Yamin. 

The signing of the Turkish agreement was attended by Ambassador of Turkey to Qatar H E Dr. Mustafa Goksu; Commander of Turkish Forces in Qatar Brigadier General Baybars Aykon, and, Turkish Military Attaché to Qatar Colonel Burak Çetin.

The signing of the French agreement was attended by French Military Attache to Qatar Colonel Jerome Lauret.
