Syria to not be appropriate for safe return of immigrants
(MENAFN) According to the recent statement of the UN Syria Commission of Inquiry, Syria is not appropriate for the secure and distinguished returns of immigrants as a result of a rise in battling and going back to force in 2021.
A UN news meeting in Geneva quoted what the commission’s chair Paulo Pinheiro informed “One decade in, the parties to the conflict continue to perpetrate war crimes and crimes against humanity and infringing the basic human rights of Syrians.”
Pinheiro added “The war on Syrian civilians continues, and it is difficult for them to find security or safe haven in this war-torn country,” as the conflict is in its 11th year.
As stated by the 46-page statement to be shown to the UN Human Rights Council on September 23, the regime’s President Bashar al-Assad is in his fourth tenure in office, and directs nearly 70 percent of Syria and 40 percent of the pre-conflict inhabitants.
Pinheiro also notified “What we are seeing today in Syria is a war against the civilian population, many of the human rights violations and the crimes in terms of humanitarian law continue.”
