Turkey, Azerbaijan conduct joint military exercise in Azerbaijani Lachin
(MENAFN) The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry stated that on Monday, Sep. 6 Turkey and Azerbaijan conducted a joint military exercise in Azerbaijan's Lachin region that was freed from Armenian occupation in 2020.
The ministry noted in a report that the joint drill is being conducted under the Agreement on Military Cooperation between both countries.
It stated that the drill aspires to boost interoperability and fight coordination along with the commanders' military managerial and unit controlling abilities.
The report further said: "during the exercises, special attention was paid to improving the skills of using modern military equipment and other military means in difficult terrain."
