PM praises Qatar's first lung transplant surgery as remarkable achievement

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani visited  Hamad Medical Corporation's Surgical Speciality Centre yesterday, to check on the health of a Qatari citizen who was the first in Qatar to receive a lung transplant back in June, which was successful, and to meet the medical team that carried out the operation. 

H E the Prime Minister congratulated the medical team that carried out the operation, including surgeons, doctors and medical assistant technicians.

The Prime Minister praised and expressed appreciation for their efforts and expertise in conducting one of the most complex operations, wishing them well and further success in their careers. H E also wished the Qatari citizen a full recovery. 

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior was accompanied by Minister of Public Health H E Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, and a number of ranking officers at Hamad Medical Corporation.
