Iraq hosts Baghdad Conference for Cooperation, Partnership


(MENAFN) In a bid to improve security and economic collaboration in the Middle East, Iraq hosted the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, with the attendance of nine countries and numerous regional and international organizations.

The assembling of the conference embodies Iraq's vision of establishing "the best relations," according to Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, expressing his hope that economic partnerships is going to be accomplished through the meeting.

Kadhimi further declared that "We hope that the Baghdad conference will be a new station to achieve aspirations of the Iraqi people and the people of the region, and we seek to activate projects and restore life in all cities of Iraq."

The Iraqi people beaten the extremist Islamic State (IS) group, as terrorism "is a common danger for all, and eliminating it requires confronting the conditions that allow its growth," the official said.
