LeT Commander Among 3 Killed In Pulwama Encounter: IGP

Srinagar- Three militants, including a Pakistani national, were killed in an encounter with state forces in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.

An encounter broke out in Pulwama town of the south Kashmir district after the state forces launched a cordon-and-search operation following information about the presence of militants there, a police official said.

He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire on the state forces, who retaliated.

Three militants were killed in the gunbattle.

The official said a search operation was going on in the area.

Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir said that Pakistani LeT commander Aijaz @ Abu Huraira along with 2 local militants were killed in the encounter.
