Turkish FM slams declaration by senior Austrian official
(MENAFN)Turkey's Foreign Ministry slammed a declaration by a senior Austrian official about the country’s president and demonstrations on Israeli aggression against Palestinians.
Ministry spokesman Tanju Bilgic stated that "We reject and condemn the unfounded statements made by the Interior Minister of Austria about our country and President concerning the protests carried out in Vienna against Israel's atrocities on Palestinians."
Turkey invited Austrian authorities to desist from statements having anti-Turkish rhetoric, saying that such remarks trunked from "purely domestic political concerns" that destroy relations amid both countries.
