Chinese key ports register expansion in container throughput
(MENAFN) Figures from a manufacturing association demonstrate that key ports in China registered increase in container throughput in mid-April.
The China Ports and Harbours Association stated that from April 11 to 20, container throughput at the country’s eight major ports rose 17.8 percent annually.
In particular, the container throughput for international trade climbed 22.3 percent from a year earlier in the very period.
According to the association, the expansion rate of container throughput at Ningbo Zhoushan port surpassed 30 percent in mid-April, whereas that of Shanghai, Xiamen and Shenzhen ports surpassed 20 percent.
