Health Ministry: Number of Administered COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Approaches 6,000,000 in Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, April 9, 2021, SPA -- The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that (904) new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to (396,758), including (7,823) active cases.
Of these, there are (898) critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable, the statement said.
It added that 9 new deaths have been reported, putting the tally of fatalities at (6,737).
Meanwhile, as many as 540 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to (382,198).
The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses that have been administered through 587 vaccine centers in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is approaching 6,000,000 doses.
On the other hand, 71,044 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
