Main index of Tehran Stock Exchange drops on Tuesday

(MENAFN)On Tuesday, the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), TEDPIX, dropped 1,934 points to stand at 1.26 million.

At the TSE on Tuesday, more than 3.531 billion securities valued at 55.813 trillion rials (about USD1.328 billion) were traded.

The first market’s index fell 2,482 points, and the second market’s index dropped 231 points.

TEDPIX increased eight percent in the previous week of the past Iranian year.

The index improved 101,000 points to 1.307 million in mentioned week.

Iran’s major stock exchange, as TEDPIX increased 2.4 percent in the last week of February, following a number of weeks of decrease.
